When people ask me why I love doing senior pictures so much, I tell them that it's because I never really grew up. So, while I'm much older than most of these kids, I still feel in my heart that I'm one of them. I just wish my body would listen so I could still do all of the things these kids can do.
Now, most of the kids that I work with I've met recently through their relationship with our studio, but occasionally I have the privilege of working with someone I've known for a while. I've known Gage, and attended church with him and his family, for upwards of 10 years. I used to teach Gage, his brother Grant and sister Brooke in Sunday school when they were all knee high to a grasshopper. Now he's taller than me, a rising senior, and it seems like just yesterday we were singing "Gorilla, Man, Gun" while waiting for his parents to pick him up from Sunday school.
Gage is an avid soccer player, and serves as team captain on two different teams. We had a blast doing portraits of him performing feats with a soccer ball that I could only dream of. We also got some great shots of him just being him out at Shelby Farms. I hope you enjoy them. Please let us know what you think in the comments below.
