Jackson :: 9 Months {Sneak Peek} | Memphis Baby Photography

I've always loved the idea of a "sneak peek" or "teaser" from a portrait session, but I never liked the fact that they spoil the surprise of seeing your final images for the first time at your premier. So, I thought I'd try something a little different this time.

Often times, when sorting through images from a session, I struggle deciding between two or three similar photographs to include in the final set. As much as I like them, I make it a point to only show my very best work to my clients. However, I've always hated the idea that good images would go into the vault and never be seen by anyone but me, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share those fun images that took second place to an even better one.

Now, don't get me wrong, you won't find anything on here that I'm not proud of, just the ones that I've agonized over; the last few that were culled out before finalizing the premier set.

If you've followed my blog for a while, then you'll remember little Jackson. I've been honored with the opportunity to photograph him as a newborn, at 3 months, 6 months, and now at 9 months. It's been so much fun watching him grow up, and I can't wait to share all of the final images with you. Until then, enjoy the these fun little teasers, and let me know what you think.

When we planned Jackson's 9-month session, mom & dad asked if we could include some family images. They wanted to do something creative and non-traditional. I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while, and it was a lot of fun making daylight look like night.

I certainly hope you enjoyed the teaser. I can't wait to share the rest of them with you. Have a blessed Easter!

Jackson :: 6 Months | Memphis Baby Photography

I've been a little slow on the draw with blogging lately, as I've had my hands full with other stuff. Nonetheless, I wanted to share some images from Jackson's 6-month session at the Hilton-Memphis. I've been photographing him since he was two weeks old, and it's been a joy watching his little personality blossom.

Now wasn't that just adorable? I hope you enjoyed them.

God bless,
